to create a space where art and creative thought can be produced, to establish, share and promote a lifestyle that respects the ecological balances, to achieve and maintain a healthy body, mind and soul by living within the nature, by dealing with its everyday chores and by utilizing its products.

Bektas Village is on the North Aegean coast where people live by fishing and by tending sheep and olive groves.

We came to Bektas Village in year 2000, bought a land of 6000m2 (~1.5 acres) which had olive and oak trees in it. We started living in it immediately.

Since then we planted over 100 trees, a 30 root vineyard and established a herb and vegetable garden.

Kaldera Guesthouse was completed in year 2004 and started accepting its guests that same summer.
